The Bow Brook Tennis Club, founded in 1912, is a nonprofit tennis facility with 2 professionally maintained red clay courts next to Concord High School at 144 Warren Street, Concord, New Hampshire.
The Club hosted the N.H. Open and Closed tournaments for years. The courts are the Club's pride and joy. They are natural red clay and are dressed with a brick dust topping. All courts are set up for both singles and doubles. The club is usually open from 15 April until the snow flies. This past year (2008) two of the courts were completely resurfaced with new clay.
The club house is not fancy but provides a place to relax before and after matches with locker room, bathroom and showers. There is a comfortable sitting area and a TV. There is also a small gym with hardwood floor that was originally designed for badminton but now is used primarily for some basketball.
All memberships include unlimited court time. Access to the courts is first come, first served. No reservations ever required.
Although membership is open to any male or female over 18, the Club is mostly male. We welcome and encourage more female participation. The focus of club membership has always been the love of tennis. We usually have about 60 members. It is infrequent that a member has to wait for court time.
Bow Brook Club holds the City Mixed Doubles, the City Father & Son Tournament and the Concord City Men's "A" & "B" Tournaments each summer. Check out the tournament page.
The Club is governed by an executive Board, four officers (president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary) and eight board members. All are volunteer positions.
